Playing Teacher for a Day

I had the opportunity to fill-in for my wife, last week. She teaches four classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The classes include Debate, Personal Finances, and Computers.

For the Personal Finance class, I provided two videos to show them. Once over, we discussed their thoughts, and possible scenarios of how to reduce the damage.

The first video gives a good overview of what our currency truly is. Few years ago we are told every child born automatically inherits a debt of $50,0000. This only increases as they reach an appropriate age to begin the work force.

Now with Obama tripling that debt, it’s far worse.

The second video provided was an accurate view of United States poor versus the rich. Again, this video was created IN 2013, so it can only be worse now.

Regarding the Debate, I provided the following scenario. There were two teams.

Each of you represent a community. The word as you know, no longer exist. You must create at least at least 5 laws for you community. I will be a third party (playing devil’s advocate). Each team do a persuasion debate to try to pull members of the other side into their community.

I had fun with this one, because I played devil’s advocate. It’s easier to be a devil’s advocate, so I salute the kids active debate between each other and replying to me.

For the computer classes, I found some videos that provides information on current technology that is not available to the public. One of those videos are below. I tried to show information in the realm of gaming, military, and health.
